Surprisingly smooth coffee, not what I anticipated. Works well with a dash of peaty whisky. I'm running it through an espresso machine and found that i had to go for a much less fine grind then usual, nearly half as fine, to get the correct extraction. I guess it means a bag will last twice as long too.

A rich and effective coffee, the blend is smooth with power the same as we are taught to fight. It puts hairs on your chest and caffeine in your system what more could you want.

I have always found that it is really hard to find the perfect blend in coffee as it is ether to bitter or like washing up water. I thought I would give Close Quater Coffee a try. WOW!! What a refreshing change, it tastes as good as it smells. I made it in the aeropress with a fine filter and a touch of semi skimmed milk and in my opinion it is better than most premium brands. And for the price of a couple of coffees at a local barista house it is definitely worth it.

How can I best describe Close Quarter Coffee... Smooth - affirmative No bitter aftertaste - affirmative Strong - affirmative Energising - affirmative Alertness - affirmative Increases concentration - affirmative Taste the depth and richness of the body - affirmative Not only is this tasty coffee a kick start for fighters, for me its versatility crosses over to the mountains. No more having to drown my taste buds in bad tasting espressos to stay alert during the long arduous hours in the mountains. All I need is a cup of CQC and I will be set for the day. CQC will be my absolute priority when packing for the Alps and any future adventures as well as equipping me to have laser focus on my training and taking on opponents at MKM...

Blown away by this coffee and absolutely exceeded my expectations. I went for the whole bean version to see what the extraction was like and kept my coffee machine settings the same as what I use for Pellini coffee beans. The extraction was amazing and created a lovely Crema! From reading the reviews, I agree with what most people are saying. A strong flavour and smooth, with no after taste. That flavour is a stronger darker taste and with the smoothness it really makes for a great tasting coffee, with or without milk. As with any premium coffee it comes with a great kick which I love! This company have not just created a great brand, they have created an amazing tasting coffee as well. Well worth the the price.

Perfect balance between rich taste, gentle bitterness and pleasing aroma. Strong coffee but not to the point which causes a heart palpitations. Great as morning punch or pre-workout energiser. This is the best coffee I've had.

Just got my hands on this long awaited coffee. This is the ground Fighting Fuel. Brewed with a Bialetti and got a crème on it, the photo is after a few slips to show depth of colour. Flavour is strong, 10 plus on espresso capsule scales, but smooth and nutty with a long lasting hint of sweet cinder toffee or caramel. Not bitter or burnt. The caffeine release is definitely for the early risers but the delivery is refined. A very enjoyable coffee
